Complex Entity Coreference • Builds on existing coreference annotation • Combining ACE and OntoNotes approaches • Using ACE types plus “other” • Represented as APF files • This new layer adds: • Member, Subset, and Member-base relations • Classification of mention reference types • Referential, ascriptive (feature), descriptive (secondary ref), negative, determined, interrogative, generic, unspecified • Mention syntactic contexts • Flagging possessive and adjectival mentions • Useful for applications like Social Network Analysis • Organization structure • Organizational roles (from the content of the mentions)
