Components of District Accreditation • Meet the AdvancED Standards for Accreditation for Quality Systems. • Engage in a systemic, continuous improvement process. • Support and monitor schools and departments through a quality assurance process. • Prepare for and host an AdvancED Quality Assurance Review Team visit on a five-year cycle.

  3. Recommendations Establish and communicate a common service delivery model used across the district for targeted populations (i.e. special education, gifted and talented, and English Speakers of Other Languages). Develop, implement, and communicate a district-wide framework to ensure the consistent implementation of the core curriculum across the school district. Review the existing facility improvement plan to include renovations to existing facilities and new/ additional facilities and explore available funding options. Review and revise the school district technology plan and include a timeline for implementation. 3

Provide a common service delivery model and curriculum, used across the school district, for targeted populations Rosetta Stone and Shelter Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) for English Language Learners Increased inclusion, Project Discovery, Tools for Transition, PALS, and ACES for special education students Gifted and Talented teachers are meeting quarterly to develop and update curriculum and pacing guides Ongoing professional development 4

Develop, implement, and communicate a district-wide framework to ensure the consistent implementation of the core curriculum across the school district District Literacy Model Coaches and partner teachers Interventionists Model classrooms District reorganization Common Core State Standards (CCSS) curriculum alignment Ongoing professional development Technology initiatives 5

Review the existing facility improvement plan to include renovations to existing facilities and new/ additional facilities and explore available funding options Identified seven priority sites for major renovations Revised bond repayment schedule Continue to explore other facilities funding options 6

  7. Review and revise the school district technology plan and include a timeline for implementation Recent annual update included an implementation time-line Instructional Technology Committee Guidelines for technology purchases and expansion Increased budget for technology infrastructure 7
