  2. The raw material alumina ? bauxite is the raw material used to make Alumina .

  3. Where do you find bauxite ? Bauxite is found all around Asia, the bottom of North America, the top of South America, the side of Africa and the top and bottom of Australia. You find the bauxite under the earth.

  4. How is bauxite removed from the earth ? To get bauxite out of the earth, they drill into the ground and when they are deep enough, they blow up the area to get reasonable sized rocks of bauxite.

  5. How is the bauxite transported ? The bauxite is taken by trucks from the mining site onto trains which take them onto ships that takes them into the factory .

  6. What happens to them at the factory ? The bauxite is mixed in a machine with a hot content called hydroxide ( which is a powder) and silicone to make molten alumina which is mixed with a liquid to make molten aluminium.

  7. How is aluminium made into the products ? The aluminium is put into moulds to be made into different shapes, then the shapes are put together and sealed to make a new product.

  8. What products would they make out of the aluminium ? The products that they would make would be foil ,laptops ,itouches ,gadgets , house side panels and many more !!

  9. What happens at the end ? At the end the aluminium is recycled or reused but if you return the aluminium to the factory that the aluminium was made in you usually get some money back to convince people to recycle.

  10. What affect does this have on the environment ? Making aluminium has quite a bad affect on the environment because to get the bauxite the people have to drill or dig into the ground to get it.
