Data Tips • Utilize your SIS, Data Warehouse, and local data • Make sure you have quality data • Use the NYSED Data Dictionary, Guidelines for Extracts, and SIRS User Guide • Develop a culture of using data • Make it easy for teachers and administrators to access, view, and understand the data • Know who in the district is responsible for each domain of data • Have a district CIO who oversees all data activity and create a district data team
