Ethical Issues for OAP – what are they? • Informed and voluntary consent • Respect for rights and confidentiality and preservation of anonymity • Minimisation of harm • Cultural and social sensitivity • Limitation of deception • Respect for intellectual and cultural property ownership • Avoidance of conflict of interest • Research design adequacy
Assignment three: Data collection - 25% Due date May 1st Participate, collect data, evaluate (1-3) 7% • Assist with the registration of participants. Ensure that you are registered as part of a Team Unitec • Assist with the evaluation data collection • Participate in the event by doing as much of the route as you can within the time available • Fill in an individual evaluation form at the end. Put your team name on it - if you want to put your own on as well, you can.

Assignment three: Data collection Reflection on the day: 9% • A short (500 word) in-class designed reflection looking back on the OAP event and critiquing it in relation to two of the key objectives of the project
OAP key objectives Key Objectives • Create an event for the whole family to have fun with the community in the community that cultivates a greater sense of community identity and belonging • Showcase local natural, social, cultural and built capital • Provide an opportunity for local organisations and groups to showcase themselves • Provide an opportunity for community networking and socialising and build foundations for community resilience • Developing a greater understanding of who’s who in the community and who is doing what • Create a collaborative model that can be adapted by any other community and run to achieve similar outcomes
