Web2.0 has developed sites from countless different categories. A few examples include: • Programming • Ajaxlines:Includes tutorials, articles and review, in a web 2.0 design. • Ma.gnolia: Used to build your web site and build community online • Video • Youtube: YouTube is a popular free video sharing Web site which lets users upload, view, and share video clips. • Meta Cafe : Meta cafe – Gives you popular internet videos of different kinds.

The kind of people that use Web2.0 • Web2.0 does provide you with information from a variety of categories. • Designers, bloggers, people of similar interests students and Web designers use it most often. • Aatna and I use this for different needs such as for educational purposes and also regularly to get in touch with our peers and family through social networking sites.
Survey Media • In the next few slides attached are the video and voice recordings of our peers in class answering the questions to both our surveys. Also including the survey graphs displaying the results of our survey questions.
Audio and Video recordings: • Note for Ms.Veena - I tried to get a hold of them today but Aatna has got them saved on her USB and she had been absent for todays class and last. She said that she will try and upload them by the end of today. So we will re-upload this PowerPoint with the recordings attached.
Analysis of the results: • Collaborating and social networking sites, are the most developed and used by a large proportion of people today. • Well-known sites used by many today in the category ‘Collaborating and Social networking’ include Facebook and twitter. As proved in our survey graphs and media, many people have chosen these sites as to one of the main reasons why, they are interested in Web2.0 • Web2.0 is of course also used for other sources such as for educational purposes which refers to one of the main reasons Aatna and I are highly dependent on it.
What are the advantages of the elements that Web 2.0 covers? • The advantages and benefits are, to be connected to share ideas. People get to give their ideas, new ideas. • You can use Web2.0 to get in touch family around the world. • They relate to so many sources, and can assist those who are interested in a variety of things.Basically many different technologies in the teaching-learning activities. • It has made information easier to share on the web by introducing ‘online communities.
What are the disadvantages of the elements that Web 2.0 covers? • It may not mention the creators name or information, and there might be hackers who have changed some information. • Many people depend on Web2.0 for educational purposes and end up with the wrong information as they weren’t secure of the source they used. This refers to our first point.
Is there a guarantee that Web 2.0 gives you the right information? • This depends on the reliability of the source – who created the site, when it was last updated, whether or not it is sponsored and if so by who etc. • Albeit the source may be reliable as when people create a website that tell us everything, they research, work on it and interview people who have investigated on the subject. However not always as anyone can hack your website and change the information which might turn out as maybe a virus or just incorrect information .

EVALUATION • Our presentation was finished just-in time ,what we required was there. There were some difficulties regarding the recording clips as my peer Aatna was not present on that day. • What we could have done for a better presentation on this topic: • There are always improvements one can make and the following points are what Aatna and I will work towards • Record more reliable data regarding the survey on Web2.0 • There was a lack of time-management which we will work towards next lime. This project could have been done earlier to save enough time for editing and so on.
