    2. Why? Attract, retain and develop staff within Concern Worldwide. Improve existing programming, mechanism to ensure better ‘roll-out’. Enhance up take of CTC and increased demand for dialogue and sharing of experience. Provide an additional channel for discussion of the application of CTC manual.

    3. The How’s. Concern provides organisation of training, practical experience of staff and field setting. (PHC) Valid provides Manual, Technical Updates / Speakers. Realisation of increased organisational capacity at HQ and field.

    4. Tier 1: Initial / Internal Target group: field staff and practitioners (nutrition and public health) from Concern as well as possibly other CTC working group agencies Location: active CTC countries Contents: manual, proceedings, best practice of CTC components thus far Duration: One week training sessions practical field visits followed by more theoretical training (could be connected with CTC Agency Working Group field visits) Regularity: could be two/three times a year for Ethiopia, Malawi & Sudan with 10-15 participants each session Important element of Ministry and key partners to participate as presenters. Would lead to improved capacity of staff/speakers for Tier 2 training.

    5. Tier 2: External / Certification Target group: senior management and technical staff Locations: London and regional hubs Contents: More detailed, more breadth than Tier 1 due to variety and level of participants Duration: Course duration could be around 2 weeks. Certificate and ‘qualification’ to be made available upon completion. Paid Course with more flexibility in topics, depending on needs. Possible links/collaboration with other institutions To potentially include this as a module within University Diploma (MA/MS) trainings Possible collaboration with other training organisations IHE / NutritionWorks - teaching experience.
