Food Manufacturer • The Challenge • Bring funding into Plant to allow increased training • Utilize funding “discipline” to improve training results • Strategy developed by TFP with Plant Manager • Develop improved training plan, focus on reimbursable training that is consistent with Plant’s training needs • TFP to prepare funding application in the state, and then manage the reporting post-approval • Results • Plant awarded $236,880 training reimbursement contract • Skill level of workers enhanced through additional training
Financial Services Company • The Challenge • How to expand training on multiple new financial products to over 4,000 sales/support employees • Strategy Developed by TFP and Company Leaders • Drive new training through Corporate for training formerly presented by divisions, provide consistent training at most efficient cost • Results • Access funding provided by HQ state program • Company ultimately awarded four contracts over eight years totaling several million dollars • Funding used to establish and maintain the Company’s new Corporate University, a lasting legacy
Telecommunications Company • The Challenge • Provide customer service, network systems and call center training on nine new products and other new services to over 11,000 trainees in 35 state locations • Locate funding for company-specific, specialized training initiatives within their local budget • Strategy developed by TFP and Company leaders • Access funding provided by traditional funding program • Communicate to the program the opportunity and needs of the impacted state workers • Results • Company was awarded two consecutive contracts over four years, with approved and earned funding totaling several million dollars • Now working with TFP to tap into training funding in a number of other states and other programs around the U.S.
Energy Drilling Contractor • The Challenge • Provide well control and related training for 300 new and 868 existing workers • Workers located throughout the southwest and in the Gulf of Mexico • Strategy developed by TFP and Company leaders • Access funding provided by primary state program • Work with local WIBs and colleges to coordinate project • Results • Company was awarded a one-year contract with approved funding totaling several hundred thousand dollars • Due to turmoil in energy markets, TFP successfully negotiated contract extensions and amended curriculum
