  3. What are they? • Difference between a goal and an outcome • Goal vs. Objective • Be/Have vs. Do/Make • Does it really matter?

  5. Why do you need them? • Guided instruction • Gives students an idea of where you’re headed and what to expect • Promises

  6. Where should you begin? Brainstorm! • List all of the skills your students receive from your course • Worksheet • TGI Worksheet • Narrow down the five essential skills you want/need students to leave with • Apply the “why” to each
