  3. Objectivos The students will be able to recognize the grammatical difference between ser and estar. The students will be able to correctly conjugate the verbs ser and estar. The students will be able to form sentences using ser an estar.

  4. SER y ESTAR Both verbs mean “to be” but are used in very different cases. Both of these verb also have irregular conjugations Select below which verb you’d like to learn about first! SER o ESTAR

  5. ¿Cuáles son las formas de SER?

  6. Los usos del verbo SER: Origin of a person or thing (el origen) Identification (la identificación) Characteristics (las características) Telling time (la hora) and date (la fecha) Time and place of an event (un evento) With the preposition “de” (possession, material)

  7. El Origen Yo soy de Nueva York. Mi familia es de Italia. Los libros son de los Estados Unidos.

  8. La identificación Tú eres americano. Nosotros somos las hermanas de Ricardo. Vosotros sois estudiantes.
