ICT in Swedish schools and the task for our Agency • The Agency has the overall commission to support ICT development in schools. • Our role is to promote the use of ICT in education, mainly by supporting the municipalities in their task.
ICT in Swedish schools and the task for our Agency • In our work we focus on: • the new school portal “ICT for teachers” • tools for in-service training for teachers • giving schools access to digital learning resources • the national infrastructure and standards for exchanging and storing information related to education • safer use of Internet and new media • cooperation with other national and international actors
Digital learning resources in Sweden • No production or national financing of digital learning recourses • All repositories in our project The Spider are owned by other actors (public service, museums, organisations etc.) • Focus on research and development
