  7. Exile • Definition: Anyone separated from his or her country voluntarily or by force. • Example: During World War II, many Jews lived in exile.

  8. Prolific • Definition: Producing large quantities with great frequency; highly productive. • Example: Peter Goldsworthy is a prolific writer.

  9. Maestro • Definition: A well known/very talented composer, teacher, or conductor of music. • Example: Herr Keller is Paul’s Maestro.

  10. Idiosyncrasies • Definition: A characteristic, habit or mannerism that is peculiar to an individual. • Example: Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory has many idiosyncrasies.

  11. Bildungsroman • Definition: A type of novel concerned with the education, development and maturing of a young protagonist. • Example: Maestro is a good example of a bildungsroman.
