Gr. 10 Academic Math • Avon View Course Registration Handbook • Math Academic 10 (Mat10, Acad) Prerequisite: Successful completion of math Grade 9 and good to excellent performance in relation to the curriculum outcomes prescribed for mathematics • This course is for students planning to enter fields requiring a post secondary study of math. A strong understanding of the concepts learned in prior grades is assumed. Only students who are willing and able to do daily homework, study regularly and maintain a very good attendance record should consider this course. TI 83 or TI 83 Plus graphing calculator is required.

Linear Programming Relations/Functions and Transformations Statistics/Data Management (organizing, presenting and analyzing data) Radicals Trigonometry Geometry Graphing (data distribution plots, linear, quadratics, absolute value) Matrices
