Division Accomplishments for Last Year • Successfully reorganized the Division • Successfully moved funding for positions under the appropriate funding sources • Completed the remodeling of the Food Service Center • Responded to Operation Haiti Relief (29 Days) • Responded to Deepwater Horizon (120 Days) • Received approval of the State Enhanced Mitigation Plan • Completed the remodeling of the Media Briefing Room and the ESF-14 Room
Division Accomplishments for Last Year • By the end of October we will have closed 85% of the project worksheets for 2004-2005 Hurricane Season • Relocated the Mitigation staff from the Florida Recovery Office to the State Logistics Response Center • Maintained funding for local programs • Maintained current level of staffing for the Division • Created a quality assurance/quality control OPS position for grants • Launched and enhanced Kids Get A Plan • Developed and utilized the recon system GATOR
Focus Areas for the Division • Maintain Local Funding for EMPA and EMPG • Maintain State Positions (FTE) • Successfully complete Sunset Review Process • Successfully complete transition process with new Governor’s Administration • Implement a new employee orientation training program • Implement a mid-level supervisors training program • Conduct a COOP Exercise as a part of the Statewide Hurricane Exercise
Focus Areas for the Division • Implement the ESAT Comm system to all 67 Counties • Hold a Mitigation Summit in the Second Quarter of 2011 • Expand the storage capacity at the State Logistics Response Center • Relocate the Florida Recovery Office staff to another facility • Complete the 11 Regional Evacuation Studies • Complete the Special Needs Shelter Generators Project • Close out the FY 05 and 06 DHS Grants
