  2. What isTechnical Assistance? Most importantly, it is someone assigned to provide support to you throughout the HRSA/ORHP Planning Grant period. Your Technical Assistance Consultant’s primary goal is to help make your program a success.

  3. What this means to you… • A Technical Assistance Consultant has been assigned to work with you, and the two of you will be in regular contact. • You and your Technical Assistance Consultant will decide on the services that will help your network achieve its grant goals and objectives • You will receive a site visit some time during the year

  4. What are Technical Assistance Services? • Your Technical Assistance Consultant can help: • Connect you with other grantees/communities who are working on similar projects across the country • Identify “models that work” • Your Technical Assistance Consultant can facilitate: • Strategic planning sessions • Network deliberations

  5. Examples of Technical Assistance • Your Technical Assistance Consultant can help you structure your approach to : • Strategic Planning/Network Design • Board Development • Program Implementation • Community Outreach • Sustainability/Business Planning • Evaluation/Return on Investment

  6. Step by Step • Telephone interview • Site visit • Ongoing support

  7. Step 1 – Assigning Your Technical Assistance Consultant • Assigned by expertise and experience to best match your program areas • Meet with your technical assistance consultant today

  8. Step 2 – Telephone Interview • Your Technical Assistance Consultant will thoroughly review your grant application and call you to ask questions about: • History of your network • Goals and objectives • Partner engagement • Strategic planning • Etc.

  9. Step 3 – Site Visit • Jointly decide on which areas to focus on and set up a date, time, and place for a site visit • One-on-one meeting at your location

  10. Step 4 – On-Going Support • Contact on a regular basis • email, telephone, conferences, etc. • Respond to your needs • Conclude with a closing interview at the end of grant period
