Why the need for more Adapted P.E. equipment? • Integrating students with all types of disabilities into a physical education class is extremely important • Students with disabilities should not be set aside in separate games, they should be participating with everyone. • The equipment and software I will be listing will do just that

Possi-Bowl 2000 • The Possi-Bowl is a metal ramp than is used to roll a ball straight without using anything but ones hands. • Why use the Possi-Bowl? • It will encourage students who can’t carry or roll a bowling ball to try • Possi-Bowl provides an alternative way of bowling • The Possi-Bowl 2000 can be bought for $1,439 off of Gophersport.com
Possi-Bowl 2000 • How will the Possi-Bowl be used? • Will be used during a bowling section • Can be used as an alternative way of bowling in or out of an Adapted P.E. class • Possi-Bowl will benefit the students by: • Encouraging students who cant bowl to try • Allowing students with disabilities to engage in activities with everyone • Possi-Bowl will help any student with trouble bowling, disability or not
APEAS II • The APEAS (Adapted Physical Education Assessment Scale) is a piece of software that is “the major revision of a test used for over 25 years” (AAHPERD.com) that helps teachers see if students require adaptive PE • Why use Fitnessgram? • The gold standard of testing • Been used for over 25 years • Utilizes data from students in the general school population • Gives teachers an idea of who will benefit from adaptive PE • Pricing for the APEAS software is $139.00 and can be bought off the AAHPERD website
APEAS II • How will the APEAS II software be used? • Tests students in 5 areas • Object Control • Locomotor Skills • Physical Fitness • Perceptual Motor Function • Adaptive Behaviors • APEAS II will benefit the students by: • Allowing students who need help to get it • Benefits students who teachers aren’t sure if they need adaptive P.E. or not

Conclusion • Introducing more equipment and software that benefits students in or out of Adaptive P.E. will help integrate everyone together • No one will feel left out or separated • Essential to every Physical Education classroom
