Jude 8-10 8  Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries. 9  Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!" 10  But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves.

  3. “Three Violations of Apostates” IMMORALITY: You are living in a dream world if you think you can, DEFILE THE FLESH AND GET AWAY WITH IT. Why the Immorality? • I Thes 4:5 “They know not God” • Jude 19 “they are devoid of the Spirit” • I John 2:19-23 “Abandonment of the Truth” • 2 Peter 2:10,18 “indulge in the flesh &corrupt desires” • 2 Timothy 3:1-9 “Perilous times in the last days”

  4. “Three Violations of Apostates” INSUBORDINATION: You are living in a dream world if you think you can, REJECT THE AUTHORITY OF GOD AND ALL OTHER AUTHORITIES HE HAS ESTABLISHED. Matthew 23:27,28Inward unrighteousness while performing an outward righteousness.

  5. “Three Violations of Apostates” IRREVERENCE: You are living in a dream world if you think you can, SLANDER CELESTIAL BEINGS OR ANGELS. THE LORD GOD IS THE FINAL AUTHORITY. • Charging Michael, the Arch Angel with contesting with Lucifer over the body of Moses. • No Biblical record here of this contest. • Michael respected God’s ordained authority structure, “The Lord rebuke you”

APPLICATIONS TO OUR LIVES….. • The world of immorality is evidence of spiritual apostasy that should concern all of His Church. • Submit to God’s Authority over your life, church and society as demonstrated by Michael, Arch Angel. • Apostates speak slander of God according to their animal instincts; believers honor the God of their hearts.
