  1. Understanding the Different Types of Anti-Drone Systems Do you know Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) / drones were developed in the mid-1800s stringently for military purposes? However, as the use of UAVs or drones have become more prevalent in both civilian and military applications, the need for anti-drone systems has become increasingly imperative. Anti-drone systems are designed to detect, track, and neutralize drones, which can pose a threat to national security, public safety, and privacy. Although UAVs / drones have a long history of use, anti-drone systems are relatively new. Wondering what are the most powerful counter-drone systems? Here you go! Handheld Drone Jammers: Handheld drone jammers are a type of electronic countermeasure that is designed to be portable and easy to use. They work by emitting a signal that jams the drone's communication and/or navigation signals, causing it to lose control and crash. Handheld drone jammers are often used by government agencies to neutralize drones in protected areas. One advantage of handheld drone jammers is that they are portable to use and do not require pre-assembly or setup. They are also relatively inexpensive and can be used in a wide range of applications. Electronic Countermeasures: Electronic countermeasures are another type of anti-drone systems that is becoming increasingly popular. These systems work by jamming the communication signals that the drone uses to control its flight. This can cause the drone to lose control and crash or return to its point of origin. One advantage of electronic countermeasures is that they can be very precise in jamming signals from specific drones in crowded airspace. However, electronic countermeasures are a bit more expensive and require specialized training to operate.

  2. Radar systems Radar systems are one of the most commonly used anti-drone systems. They work by emitting electromagnetic waves that bounce off objects and return to the radar, creating a picture of the surrounding airspace. Radar systems can detect drones from a distance of several kilometres, making them an effective tool for monitoring large areas. Conclusion As of 2022, there were 856,000 drones registered by the FAA in the States, and the numbers are increasing rapidly. Drones continue to gain popularity among new demographics every day, and their skyrocketing usage poses a bigger threat to the defence ecosystem than ever. Counter-drone systems are no more mere alternatives; they are a mandate. Whether we are talking about Radar or Drone RF Jammer, the equipment needs to be top-notch to match the level of evolving drones nowadays. So, ensure to pick the right technology for the market to keep rogue drones at bay! Source: https://nqdefenseus.blogspot.com/2023/03/understanding-different-types-of- anti.html
