Looking up an Appraisee’s details on SOAR for Appraisers (Primary and Secondary Care)
Appraiser / Appraisee allocation • Appraisees are assigned to you by local admin teams • If you have been assigned someone with whom you may have a conflict of interest (e.g. You work together, socialise outside of work, next door neighbours etc), inform the local team right away
View Appraisee Details • Click “Appraisees” from menu to show your allocation of appraisees • Click on their names to go to their user details • Contact details • Admin Notes • Appraisal History
Click on “Appraisees” • On this page you can see: • Appraisee’s GMC number • Latest Interview Date (so you can see when they are next due their appraisal) • How many appraisals they’ve had • How many appraisals with you • If they have a Co-Appraiser (Clinical Academics) • Click on Appraisee name for user details
“Details” shows contact details • “PC/SC Appraisee” shows Appraisee details • Who the assigned Appraiser is • Who the Co-Appraiser is • Who the Co-ordinator is (line manager, Clinical Director etc) • “Admin Notes” – think of it as Post-It notes eg • When this doctor joined the Board • When they left etc • “Appraisals” lists the doctor’s appraisal history, but only interviews carried out on SOAR are recorded • “Revalidation” shows what supporting information the doctor has provided thus far; if they have been revalidated etc
Further support • Medical Appraisal Scotland website: • www.appraisal.nes.scot.nhs.uk • Resources, FAQ and other useful sections • Local Administration teams: • Contact details on Medical Appraisal Scotland • SOAR Helpdesk • Black “Help” box on right when logged into SOAR; • or SOAR@nes.scot.nhs.uk • Due to capacity issues we are unable to offer telephone support • You can request a call back via the Helpdesk – but we need detailed descriptions of the issue(s)
