  3. How do you get this disease? • The major way that you could get infected by gonorrhea is through having oral, vaginal, anal or any kind of sex. • You could also run into this disease by touching the genital organs of any one who already has this disease.

  4. How do you know that you have this disease? • The way that you can tell you have gonorrhea for guys is by having swollen testicles, burning sensation when urinating, or yellow ,white ,green discharge from penis. • For girls it’s bleeding between periods, painful burning sensation when urinating, and increasing vagina discharge.

  5. How can you prevent transmission of this disease? • You could prevent this disease by not having any kind of sexual intercourse at all. • Another way to prevent this disease is by using an unbroken and perfectly secure condom, but the probability to prevent getting infected by this disease is only 60%. • You could also prevent this disease by getting your partner tested for gonorrhea before you have sexual intercourse with him/her.

  6. Can you be cured once you are infected? • You can get treated for gonorrhea. Only if the infection isn’t serious. • Problem is those who have gonorrhea usually have other STDs. • Any permanent damage done by gonorrhea cannot be fixed. • Also if you take medicine it will only help stop the infection from spreading.

What happens if you don’t get treated? • For women if not treated it can let to PID (pelvic inflammatory disease). • In guys gonorrhea can cause epididymitis that is a painful conditions of the ducts attached to the testicles. • Also if you have untreated gonorrhea you can get HIV more easily and you can transfer HIV more easily to others.
