2. 40 hours community service:Do you have them? Due to Guidance by end of May.

3. Year 5? Not ready? Need to upgrade marks? Missing prerequisites? If you need 6 or more credits, you may want to return to Mowat. If so, you will be required to meet with your Vice Principal or Guidance counselor. If you need less than 6 credits, consider a semestered school or an alternative school ie: ASE or SCAS

4. New for 2012-2013 Landscape Architecture THD 4M1 This will be a hands on course that will teach you the various aspects of landscape design and construction Students will have an opportunity to work in the courtyard to develop real life skills

5. New for 2012 - 2013 Fitness and Recreation Leadership PLF4C This course will be 70% classroom based and 30% activity based Ideal for those students looking to develop or improve their leadership abilities in a phys ed setting This course will prepare students for Fitness and Recreation programs at College

6. Co-op Program at Mowat There is no application process– simply choose COOP as an option in myBlueprint.ca/tdsb COOP4 – 4 credit full day every other day COOP2 – 2 credit half day every other day For more information: a) see Mrs. Graves or Mr. Dias Monday’s in the library b) see a guidance counselor In March and April the COOP teachers will meet with you to discuss your placement and options moving forward

7. Course Selection Timelines On line course selection opens: February 8th , 2012 On line course selection closes: February 21st , 2012 Students that do not submit course selections in myBlueprint by Feb. 21st must see a guidance counsellor

8. Not returning? Still need to register online with MyBlueprint.ca/tdsb and indicate you are not returning. Need a parent/guardian signature if you are not 18 years of age. All exit codes are found under the Guidance and Career Education tab ie: COLLEGE, APPREN, NEWHS, WORK, UNIVER, OTHER

10. STUDENT COURSE SELECTION STEPS Log into myBlueprint Enter OEN/DOB (on first visit) Access High School Planner Add Courses to Official Plan Review and Submit Courses Print and Return Sign-Off Sheet

12. ENTER OEN/DOB (FIRST VISIT) Select your Grade Enter your OEN & Date ofBirth

13. ACCESS HIGH SCHOOL PLANNER Click on “Plan Courses”

14. Click on Add <Course> Click on the course you would like to select Click Add Course to Plan

15. HIGH SCHOOL PLANNER Click “View Progress” to view your Graduation Status Click “Submit” when you have selected your courses and are ready to submit

18. REVIEW AND SUBMIT COURSES Review your selections Click Confirm and Print when you are ready to submit Note: You will not be able to change your course selections in myBlueprint after this step. Please consult your Guidance Counsellor if you wish to make any changes after you have submitted your courses.

19. PRINT SIGN-OFF SHEET Congratulations! You’re done! Please print and return a signed copy of your Course Selection Sign-Off Sheet to your Counsellor or Teacher.

OCAS and OUACTransmission Dates: • November Transmission: Marks for college, demographic data for universities • February Transmission: Interim marks for both college and university • April Transmission: Interim marks for both college and university • July Transmission: Final Marks and proof of graduation

28. Offers of Admission • Offers of admission may be granted as early as February, and will be given on an ongoing basis until May. • Most students will receive an offer of admission after the April transmission • Offers must be accepted by May 1, 2012 for Ontario colleges. Each college will determine the due date to confirm offers made after May1, 2012. • Offers must be accepted by June 1, 2012 for Ontario universities. The latest date of an offer by any university will be May 29, 2012.
