How we advocate for change at EU-level on the basis of ENIS research findings • One year after the EU’s anti-corruption policy launch: • Influencing EU policy • Bringing experts together for exchange • Delivering expert advice: EU Expert Groups & public consultations • Awareness-raising among EU stakeholders and beyond: press conference/ media coverage • Supporting/ shadowing national launches • Liaising with ENIS donors (Commission/ Norway Grants)

  4. What should be the themes? • Access to information • Parliamentary integrity (codes of conduct, ceilings for donations) • Lobbying transparency: inadequate regulations • Whistleblower protection • Political party financing • Public procurement

What’s the EU hook: potential future advocacy actions EU hooks by topic: Parliamentary integrity: EP Code of conduct (closed!), promotion of legislative footprint (ongoing) Whistleblowing: review of EU internal staff regulations (ongoing) Procurement: influencing EU Directives (ongoing until end of 2012!) Political party financing: campaign around upcoming EP elections 2013
