Toastmasters Division X, District 8International Speech and EvaluationContest Agenda Date goes here Contest Master and Chair name Division x Governor Sergeant-at-Arms calls room to order and introduces Contest Master Contest Master begins the Division x Evaluation Contest • Provides welcoming & housekeeping remarks • Announces contestants by name & order, and any agenda changes • Ensures Chief Judge has briefed the Judges • Has Timer give timing information • Introduces Pattern Speaker (by name and speech title only) • Has Sergeant-at-Arms remove Evaluation contestants from the room • Interviews Pattern Speaker and provides Certificate of Participation • Has Sergeant-at-Arms bring in a contestant in the order drawn • Asks Timer for one minute of silence after each evaluation and until Ballot Counters collect ballots & leave the room with the Chief Judge • Interviews each contestant & provides Certificates of Participation Break: 10 minutes Contest Master begins the Division x International Speech Contest • Begins contest and reminds attendees to silence devices • Announces contestants by name & order, and any agenda changes • Ensures the Chief Judge has briefed the Judges • Has Timer give timing information • Introduces speaker by order drawn (name, speech title, speech title, name) • Asks Timer for one minute of silence after each speech and until the Ballot Counters collect ballots & leave the room with the Chief Judge • Interviews speech contestants and provides Certificates of Participation • Provides Certificates of Participation to the non-judging functionaries present (judges receive their certificates from the Chief Judge) • Announces upcoming Toastmaster events (TLI, Conferences, etc.) • Recognizes attending dignitaries • Announces the winners of both contests in reverse placement order • Awards recipients with certificates & trophies • Adjourns the contests • Has winners complete paperwork & has photographs taken Evaluation Contestants __ name __ name __ name __ name __ name __ name __ name __ name Speech Contestants __ name __ name __ name __ name __ name __ name __ name __ name Special thanks to name of contest place, hosting club, etc. Please remember to silence all devices, take photos only after the contests are over, and be mindful of the calls for silence so the judges can complete their ballots.
