  3. Key Motions Henceforth have all regulatory issues addressed through and coordinated by the Adhoc Regulatory Committee as currently chaired by Vic Hayes. Carney/Coffey PASSED Move to ask the Adhoc Regulatory Group to initiate a conversation with the FCC as soon as possible to clarify FCC position on high data rate proposals at 2.4GHz and possible revisions of the relevant FCC regulations and rules. Regulatory • Reviewed communication from FCC as documented in 01/035 • Submitted list of FCC related questions to Adhoc Regulatory Committee • Obtained answers to questions from FCC in document 01/053 • Held joint 802.11g/Adhoc regulatory meeting to obtain clarifications and answers to additional questions via teleconference with FCC. (Details of call will be documented in the minutes for 802.11g January 2001 Session.) Shoemake, Texas Instruments

Technical Selection Procedure • Have spent 6 hours going through Selection Procedure (00/209r3) through Wednesday, January 17, 2001. • Step 14 – Technical changes • Step 15 – Merger of proposals • No mergers have occurred • Step 16 – Presentation of updated proposals • Have heard documents related to MBCK and OFDM • Documents of PBCC will be presented Thursday morning Shoemake, Texas Instruments

  6. Remaining Old Business • Continue with hearing technical presentations Thursday morning (Step 16 of Selection Procedure) and presentation of Comparison Criteria Matrix (Step 17) • Hear report on regulatory status from Vic Hayes • Continue with the Selection Procedure (steps 18-20) • Step 18 – Questions and Final Statements • Step 19 – Rounds of voting • Step 20 – Submission of selected solution to IEEE 802.11 WG Shoemake, Texas Instruments
