Project Overview II The Zooming Out for a Global View Conference is… “a student global issues conference for high school students”… but it is much more than that An opportunity to learn about sustainability issues affecting local and global communities A chance to interact with high school students and Texas A&M students/faculty A way to give back to society through education

Used to discuss project with faculty and students Projects teach: • Engage students in a real life learning experience • Writing skills: how to clearly present a problem and make a connection between the local problem and how it impacts our world in global proportions. • Presentation skills: Technology presentation and poster session Sponsored by Public Partnership & Outreach, Office of the Provost, the College of Geosciences, and the Academy for Future International Leaders at Texas A&M University
