Increases in sustainability in farming are making the industry more stable, and around the world [that] the nations are concluding they can produce enough food for their people.” • Communication is also an example to consider

  7. Improving Scientific Research • Some technology makes it easier to perform scientific research • Invention of the microscope created the study of cell biology • The Large Hadron Collider enables scientists to answer previously unanswered questions in physics

  9. Advances in Medicine • According to an article on the World Health Organization website, it is estimated that vaccines prevent almost 6 million deaths worldwide. It states, “in the USA, there has been a 99% decrease in incidence for the nine diseases for which vaccines have been recommended for decades, accompanied by a similar decline in mortality and disease.” • Vaccines improve lives • Make travel less risky • Can prevent cancer • Provide allergy relief
