  2. Representational Art • Is any type of art in which objects or figures are easily identified. • Examples of representational art are realism, impressionism, and the Renaissance.

  3. Abstract Art • Abstract art is any art that emphasizes design and a simplified or systematic investigation of forms. The subject matter may be recognized or may be transformed into shape, color and line. • Abstract art is however based on real objects and forms.

  4. Nonobjective Art • Any art that has no recognizable subject matter such as trees, flowers, or people. • The actual subject matter might be color or the composition of the work itself.
