Join us at the Tectonics Observatory's 2008 Annual Meeting to explore the dynamics of the lithosphere and plate boundary processes. We aim to improve our understanding of geological deformation over various time scales, from earthquake rupture to long-term processes. Funding is provided by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, NSF, and NASA.

Tectonics Observatory - Funding - • Improve our understanding of the dynamics of the lithosphere and plate boundary processes over a wide range of time scales from the earthquake rupture to long term geological deformation. • The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation • NSF • NASA - Scientific Objective -
Tectonics Observatory- Strategy - • Stimulate cross-discipline interactions. • Use modern techniques and develop new techniques(CGPS, satellite imagery, thermochronology, seismic imaging, isotopic geochemistry …) • Take advantage of recent advances computational techniques and hardware. - In-house facilities - Regional multidisciplinary Experiments - Intellectual life
