Wyoming’s Industry Partnership Solutions • Develop systemic change in how industry views future workforce solutions • Implementation of contracts with three separate state sectors – Health, Energy and Hospitality • Most of the RFPs we received for the Industry Partnership Solutions jumped straight to addressing training solutions with minimal industry input. We need to back the proposers up to get more industry input. How have other states addressed this issue?

Delaware – Accomplishments/Highlights • Establishing the State Energy Sector Partnership Team, which is dedicated to pursuing the Governor’s Climate Prosperity Initiative goals • Planning for September 22, 2009 focus group sessions with leadership from seven energy sectors including industry, government, training providers and non-profit organizations • Commitment to meet September 29, 2009 to draft a charter that establishes a three year commitment to develop a broad based partnership of government, industries, nonprofit organizations and pursue the development of the targeted sectors
What you want to accomplish or change? We had many responses to this question. They tend to revolve around the work the group is doing to develop the ARRA State Energy Sector Partnership application. However, among the sector specific goals are: • Build the infrastructure so Delaware can become a national leader and our efforts can become industry-driven • Develop core industry partnerships • Draft an action plan that will create a system that is integrated and nimble

California Green Workforce Training Initiative • Serve as a catalyst : creating sustainable regional sector initiatives managed through regional partnerships delivering a well qualified workforce for CA’s Clean/Green Economy • Released $23 M CEWTP 8/6/09 • Need advice on managing the workload, communications, etc as Regional sector initiatives are launched!
