Extreme Contingency Studies Extreme contingency considered to be loss of all EHV transformers at a TEP substation (Tortolita, Vail or South): • TEP can survive loss of all EHV xfmrs at any substation: Tortolita, South, & Vail. • These outages are included in Tie Open Load System tables. TEP operates using “load Shed” tables • Fast switched reactive devices and/or direct load trip arming
