The cause for this issue might be the increased vehicle population compared to the limited land area and road sizes of Maldives. • In order to prevent accidents in Maldives the government gives a huge consideration for the road safety awareness programs through various ways, such as media, driving schools, Taxi Centers, Auto engineering garages, NGO,s and through out various volunteers. • It is also clear that the young drivers need to be continuously aware for road safety measures, as a huge population of the youth enjoys speeding and road side stunts, even in there daily life.

The Activities for this plan has been commenced from 11 may 2011. • A book for land transport has been published during 2009, the book is named as “ROAD CODE” and this book is about the road discipline for all the vehicles and the people walking.
