What do we do? We work focused on solutions, which means:
What do we do? Find out what works – and do more of that
What do we do? If something doesn‘t work, although we put a lot of effort into it, we try something else
Case Example I • Student missesclass on fiveofofsixMondays • We‘reinterested in theException, thesixthMonday… • Whathappened?
Solution focused Questions • When did the problem not show up? • What did you do differently? • How did you keep the problem away?
Case Example II • Pupil is often late for school • Pupil misses classes • Pupil has bad marks • But he wants to change! • How we develope small aims:
Scale Questions Where do you see yourself today? Where were you 6 months ago? If you are on 5 today, how would you recognise that you have reached 6 next month? 10 Best student in Berlin 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0 Bad boy
Case Example III New girl at school (third school within 10 weeks) • Passive, quiet, no friends Truancy • After two weeks she doesn‘t come anymore Case Manager visits at home • Mental problems suspected Referral to youth psychologist • Stationary therapy in the paediatric psychiatry for 6 weeks • Stay in contact during the therapy Case Conference with Youth Welfare Office • Referral to a specialised school for 1 year Regular attendance at new school
