What’s in MyBackpack? What’s in your backpack? I played in the windy house It’s empty today. And talked with my friends. Where’s your work? I rocked a baby Did you just play? And played pretend. When I built with blocks In science I observed, I learned about shapes. Guessed, and experimented, too I balanced and shared- The same things grown up Our skyscraper was great. Scientists do.
What’s in MyBackpack? Art was messy. Out on the playground I created and explored. I ran like the wind. I solved my own problem I learned to take turns When I spilled glue on the floor. And helped a hurt friend. My fingers got a work out Story time is what With puzzles and clay. I always like best. Those same muscles I can use my imagination Will help me write one day. And give my body a rest.
What’s in MyBackpack? I sang and danced - I love to go to school. Learned a finger play, too. I’m glad I’m me. I answered questions An empty backpack And said, “please and “Thank you” Means I’m learning, you see! There will be time For worksheets and tests, But talking and playing Is how I learn best.
Many of our daily activities include phonological awareness skills-which require active listening. This means no paperwork! We also work in small groups.
