  1. Joza Mikš He was born on 21.4. 1901 in Česká Skalice He died: 26. 7. 1966 He studied the high school for waving in Dvůr Králové n. L. 1920 – he started to study art in Prague at a painter Hofbaurea. He had a shortage of money so he stopped to study. During his army service he painted as well. From 1924 he become an own painter with some exhibitions. After the first world was he was not accepted into the Art Union so he could not make exhibitions and selling his pictures. He had financial problems. He had two times marriage. He died in Jablonce n. Jizerou We chose one of his picture taken near our town.

  5. When we compare both snaps we see different view. On the left you can see open landscape with a few old houses, in the contrary there are new houses new roads, only birches there are. We can say that the town which is spreading in a tiny valley , catching land. People want to own their houses in nature. So our land is disappear step by step . Only the hill and the forest at the back are still there. What shall we do in the future? We have to decide if we will build family houses or blocks of flats and keep the landscape.
