Use Cases • Basic alerts are used to implement specific use cases • Person approaching border, Traffic incident, Gate activity, etc. • Basic alerts can be configured to trigger on objects / behaviors of specific description • Size, Speed, Color, Type, Duration of movement, etc • Basic alerts can be compounded to only fire on more complex behavior • One or more basic alerts in a specific sequence in some time period

  4. Motion Detection • Restrictions • High angle view, uniform or slowly varying lighting, objects (people) do not become completely still • Use Case Example • Area over-crowding • Trigger when 75% of region covered with people • Suitable image:

  5. Directional Motion • Restrictions • Activity level medium to low, objects do not significantly overlap in image, high angle view (45 degrees or better) • Use Case Example • Enter through Exit • Trigger if object path consistently moves wrong way through Exit • Suitable image:

  6. Abandoned Object • Restrictions • Object > x% of image • Object contrasts well with background • Object not occluded for > 20% of time or for > 5 seconds at any one time • Suitable Image:
