Problem 19-169 Aaron Anderson ME 114
Solution 1 Using Camp-g, a Bond graph was designed to model the problem.
Bond Graph I SE 1 C O R O O C 1 1 1 SF SF SF
Results After completing the bond graph, data was collected and displayed via matlab. The results calculated were comparable to the solutions as presented in the problem.
Results • The value of 5.8 N on the force graph is close to the calculated value of 5.75 N. • The displacement graph illustrates a displacement of 7.1 x 10-6 m. This is an exact match as the calculated value as displayed in problem 19-169.
Solution 2 Using Matlab’s modeling function Simulink, Problem 19-169 was appropriately solved. The results acquired via Simulink matched the solutions as determined in problem 19-169. Results Vertical Displacement: xm = 7.1 X 10-6m Force on Foundation: Fm = 5.75 N
