Learning objectives • By the end of the session all learners will have: • Explored what each subsection presentation needs to include • Identified which group they are in and what topic they are covering • Contributed to the group discussion regarding the plan as to what the group need to include • Arranged times when they can meet with their peers to continue work on their presentations • Some learners will have: • Asked questions regarding the self directed plan • Led discussion in their small groups • Started reading around their theory • Accessed relevant websites relating to their theory and the real life application of their topic
Plan… • In order to complete the Sport unit and have sessions for revision, Exercise and Psychology, the last section, will be presented in groups • Each group will be allocated 1 subsection • Each group will need to develop a 15 minute presentation, anticipating 5 mins of questions after • The material needs to be concise • Need to develop a handout to give to your peers which covers the theory and the evidence ~ again this can be concise as they can make notes as you present
What the presentation needs to include…. • On the handout, individually, develop some ideas as to what you think needs to be included… • 5 mins • Title of your subsection • The theory • Any relevant key researchers • Dates • The supporting evidence • Methodology implemented • Results • Conclusions • Evaluation points that you have developed • As a handout, consider and develop a brief 10marker plan for a possible question relating to your sub section • 10 marker generic question…..
