  2. New Feature: Graphic Organizers Graphic organizers can be printed as black line masters or completed electronically. Students can view the organizers as they are writing. Organizers are stored with the prompt in their writing portfolios.

  3. Student & Teacher Access to Graphic Organizers Students Access: Practice Tab => PreWriting Teacher Access: Helpful Documents => Graphic Organizers

  4. New Feature: View errors on essay page As a student is revising an essay, the previous essay and the error messages from PEG can be viewed above it for easy referencing.

  5. Update PEG scoring engine to PEG 4 • Detects essays with excess repetition (copy/paste the same paragraph over and over again) and will not allow submission for scoring • Improved spelling and error recognition • More accurate suggested edits to spelling and grammar

  6. New Feature: Comments in Reports Comments created by teachers and students can now be viewed within the reports.

  7. Teachers can see student performance on a specific writing topic including a holistic score and the score on each writing trait for that topic. New Feature: “Topics Report”

  8. New Feature: Share Prompts Teachers can create and share writing prompts with other teachers in their school.

  9. New Feature: Adding Stimulus material to a writing prompt Teachers can now add stimulus material to a writing prompt including: • reading passages, • images, and • website links

  10. Adding Stimulus Material continued… Students can access the materials as they are writing their essay. Teachers must agree to MI’s acceptable use policy for uploading content to our website.

  11. New Feature: Auto-Generate Username and Password Student usernames and passwords can be automatically generated using a unique student ID and date of birth.

  12. OPTIONAL New Feature: Bulk Upload Bulk upload student rosters by importing the information from a spreadsheet.

  13. New Feature: School Administrator Role A new role has been created for a school administrator who can now create teacher and student accounts and create school level writing topics available to all teachers.

  14. School Administrator Role Continued… School Administrators can add additional teachers to an existing class. They can also create and manage courses for the school.
