The current local obstacles to GB development • Lack of awareness and skills of every stakeholders • Lack of regulation and law enforcement to ensure international standard construction practice • Short term investment strategy of developers and investers • Misperception about GB cost premium • Too highly subsidised energy cost • Local real estate and financial crisis

VGBC Recommendations for the Government to develop GB • Involve all actors to define adequate regulations and GB development roadmap • Strengthen and enforce the regulatory framework • Build internal capacity to enforce building codes • Promote green building rating tools for Vietnam • Lead by example • Define incentive policies for the private sector • Integrate GB design in University Curricula
