  17. Accessories

  18. Scarves and gloves • Scarves are a very popular item! • Every Canadian spends minimum $10 a year on new scarves. • Gloves – fingerless are popular. • Hats are popular, but are more for functional use than for fashion.

  19. Apparel

  20. Apparel • - Long sweaters • - Fine wool • - Not ‘bulky’ • - Details get higher price points

  21. Knit Trends • Layered products • New combinations (blends) • Natural materials • New finishing techniques • Lifestyle promotion

  22. Buying habits • Consumers are looking for: • An individual look • Comfort • Fit • Vintage/retro • Plus Size

  23. Lead Time Demands • Buyers increasingly aim to minimize times-to-market and replenishment lead times, especially for products with a short life cycle. Typical lead times from Turkey or North Africa is eight to ten days, depending on the distance by ship and by truck. However, for exporters in China, Bangladesh, India and other developing countries, lead times still range from six to eight weeks without unforeseen problems (transport of goods to the port, delays at sea or customs hold-ups).

  24. Thank you 
