Lead Time Demands • Buyers increasingly aim to minimize times-to-market and replenishment lead times, especially for products with a short life cycle. Typical lead times from Turkey or North Africa is eight to ten days, depending on the distance by ship and by truck. However, for exporters in China, Bangladesh, India and other developing countries, lead times still range from six to eight weeks without unforeseen problems (transport of goods to the port, delays at sea or customs hold-ups).
