TaskMan Michael Cohen - Team Manager Jenny Sloan - Documentation Brandon Bond - User Testing Kimberley Dietemann - Design Kun Wang - Development
Overview • Conducted tests of our interface with customers• Created a paper prototype to simulate computer interaction• Analyzed results in order to improve our design
Mission Statement TaskMan looks at where you are and the priority level of your tasks to remind you in the right time and place
Location based reminders Mission Statement Visual representation of tasks
Representative Tasks Add a task using the alternative text entry method Mark a task as well as all of its subtasks as complete Reorganize tasks in a way which is logical to the customer

Task / Scenario 3 We wanted to see if our method of organizing a customer’s tasks matched their expectations Organize your tasks as you see fit
Experimental Method One Proctor One Computer Two note takers Reserved a library study room, and staggered the times at which our participants showed up 3 participants 2 students and a community member
Results Customers were able to complete 4 of 7 goals within our tasks We assigned all problems a severity ranking between 0-4 The first serious problem was that all test subjects were not able to understand how to view tasks
Changes to be made Solving the issue of selecting a tap Eliminate the long-press vs. tap confusion
Changes to be made 'How do I go back?' A way to save changes
Changes to be made Confusing Wording 'COMPLETE' 'Notify when close by'
Summary We were able to greatly improve our application by studying our failed tasks We have come closer to finalizing our design Our user tests were both disheartening and enlightening Our customers could see themselves using TaskMan once the usability issues were resolved
