  3. Anhui (continued) • Birth place of the first Ming emperor Zhu Yuanzhang – member of the White Lotus Rebels • Known for it’s various craftwork: • - Rice paper • - Ink Stones/Chinese Ink • - Together these form the precious Chinese four treasures of literary pursuits

  4. Yellow Mountain (Huangshan Mountain) • - Found in the south of Anhui province, is probably the most famous. • - Originally known as Mt. Yishan it was renamed Mt. Huangshanin 747 AD in recognition of the legendary Huang Di, who was the reputed ancestor of the Chinese people and who made magic pills for immortality here

  6. Mount Jiuhua • Is considered one of the best summer resorts in China. In addition to its popularity as a tourist destination

  7. Langyashan Mountain • Lies in the Southwest of the city, Chuzhou, east of the Anhui Province • It is a key national scenic spot and the state forest park, one of the five major resorts in Anhui.
