Evaluation Criteria • Alignment to the 2012 CA ELD Standards • The materials submitted for the ELD SIMR must align to the 2012 ELD standards, as adopted by the SBE on November 7, 2012. • The new ELD standards are available on the CDE ELD Standards Web page at http://www.cde.ca.gov/sp/el/er/eldstandards.asp. Submitted supplemental materials, in conjunction with the existing adopted grade-level materials, must address all of the subset of standards associated with each of the four key shifts outlined in the standards maps.
ELD SIMR Timeline • July 18-19, 2013 – Training • July through November 2013 – Independent Review • November 14-16, 2013 – Deliberations at San Joaquin County Office of Education • December 2013 – Public Comment Meeting at the California Department of Education (CDE) • January 2014 – Publisher Appeals Meeting at the CDE • March/May 2014 – State Board of Education Acts to Approve Recommended Programs • June 14, 2014 – List of Approved Programs Posted to ELD SIMR Web page
