4. Valid Characters Organization and site display names can contain only the following characters (all other characters are invalid): • A-Z • a-z • 0-9 • - (hyphen) Spaces are also valid. However, remember that parentheses, “(),” and brackets, “[],” cannot be used.

5. Invalid Characters in Org and Site name • Using the Exchange Administrator to correct the Organization Name • Same procedure used for changing Site name

6. Distribution List Naming • DLs in Exchange 5.5 will be converted to UDGs or universal mail-enabled groups • Distribution lists as used by Exchange 5.5 can only contain 20 characters or will be truncated by the ADC in the AD • Truncation creates a problem in uniqueness with long DLs # Cahners Denver Exc|hange Administrators # Cahners Denver Exc|hange Managers • Rename these groups per the naming standards document P2K-06892 Define Naming Standards.

7. Resource Mailboxes • Two mailboxes in Exchange 5.5 mapped to one Windows NT account now become two separate mailbox-enabled user objects in AD • NTDSNoMatch finds mailboxes with multiple user accounts and user accounts with multiple mailboxes • Shared mailboxes will need to be assigned a dedicated user account prior to the ADC CA implementation

8. Recipient Containers RCs need to be collapsed for manageable ADC CAs RCs should contain like items

9. Restructuring Containers in Exchange Tools available to help restructure RCs include: • Exchange 5.5 Import/Export Tool • The Header.exe tool from the Back Office Resource Kit 4.5
