  5. Simple • KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) • Simplicity will impact scalability • Avoid shadows • Avoid gradients • Avoid the use of too many colors • Don’t use photos

  6. Unique • Your logo must make your business stand out above its competitors • Following trends is often NOT the way to do this • Be creative • Look at other logos for inspiration, but don’t copy their approach

  7. Fax Attack • Having managed both an RMA and Requisitions Department, I have observed the impact that a fax machine can have on a logo.
