How to initiate the mobismaME software download process mobisma ME Version. 2.0
Information Before Downloading • You need to have an approved/recommended mobile phone (see list) and must have purchased License Key before you can download the mobismaME software on the mobile phone. • Your should be able to either: • Receive SMS messages with weblink on your mobile phone and should have data capabilities (GPRS / 3G / Wi-Fi) to access the Internet to download the mobisma client software, or • Have ability to download the software on your PC as a compressed zip file, uncompress the zip file and then use your mobile phone cable (e.g. USB), or bluetooth wireless connection to transfer the files from the PC to your mobile phone.
Before initiating registration • Make sure your mobile phone has the following Settings: • Capability to access 3G/GPRS/Wi-Fi (WLAN), or • Cable to allow you to transfer file from PC to mobile phone • Necessary mobile phone software on your PC (e.g. PC Suite for Nokia) • Check with your operator or try to surf with your mobile phone. • Capability to receive Service Messages (SMS). • Enter under “Messages” then “Settings”. • Choose “Push” or “Service Messages” >> Allow. • Please note: If you can not find the settings for your particular mobile phone, contact the support of the manufacturer.
Registration of License • Go to www.mobisma.com and select “Download” button. • Enter User-name and Password as supplied with your License Key document. • Fill the online registration form – making sure to select the mobile phone model correctly. • During the online registration - depending on the mobile phone selected, the web system automatically selects the appropriate mobisma software for your selected mobile phone. This would be either: • Symbian S60 based mobisma application, or • Java based mobisma application • Read and confirm that you accept the “End User License Agreement”. You may wish to print it for your reference. • Press “Submit” to register the License Key. • When you submit your registration details, you are taken to the “My Mobisma” page. From this page you can either: • Initiate an SMS ”Service Message” to your phone with link to download the software, or • Download the software (zipped) file to your PC. You can then transfer the file from your PC to your mobile phone. • The mobisma website also sends an email (registered during online registration) – with instructions on how to install, or remove the mobisma application from their selected mobile phone.
Registration of License • Each license – when registered into the mobisma website would allow resellers to download the mobisma client for the particular mobile phone – a total of 5 times – in 24 months. This means – 1st software download (1st time), plus 4 more times. • This is – incase : • a reseller has difficulty downloading the software to the mobile phone • After installing the mobisma software on the mobile phone, the customer breaks or loses the mobile phone – and has to change the mobile phone. • The mobile phone contract expires and the customer has to switch to a new/different mobile phone.
Registering mobisma v2 • Enter username and password as provided with the purchased license • Fill all required fields correctly – especially the mobile phone make, number and IMEI number. • Note: License key will be pre-filled automatically. • Press the “submit” button. • The “My Mobisma” page opens. Select to download via SMS, or download to PC. • Customisation page opens – allowing you to customise the application downloads 2 1 5 4 3
After Successful Downloads • After successfully downloading and using mobisma mobile client software with the office Panasonic telephone system, a user can download the software again – under the following typical conditions: • If a user changes their mobile phone (e.g. lost, stolen, broken, etc) – they can go to the “my mobisma” page – and using the userid and password provided with the license – can download the application again. A user can do this – a maximum of 4 times in a total of 24 month period. • If the mobisma application is deleted in the mobile phone (e.g. by user’s mistake, etc) – the user can download the mobisma mobile client application again. • If the user is not changing their mobile phone, but still want to download the mobisma mobile client application – they can download it to their PC and then copy the software from the PC to the mobile phone, as many times as they want. • Note: • The software license – once registered on mobisma website, has a life of 24 months – after which time, if a user wants to download the software again – they will have to purchase the license again. • This does not mean that the software will stop after 24 months. It just means that after 24 months – the user can not use the same license key to download the software again.
Supported Mobile Phones • To See the list of supported mobile phones – please visit www.mobisma.com and click on “Products”, and then select “Phones” option from the left menu. • Select Mobile Phone Operating System – either Java or Symbian. • You can mail yourself a list of the supported mobile phone list by entering your email and then pressing the email icon.
