Regular/Irregular Verbs Basic forms of a verb are: • Present • Present participle • Past • Past participle A verb is regular when its past and past participle are formed by adding –ed. A verb is irregular when its past and past participle are formed in some other way.
Subject-Verb Agreement • A present tense verb and its subject must agree in number. • Add –s or –es to a verb if the subject is singular. • Do not add –s or –es of the subject is plural or I or you
