  4. Scope • Restricted to PC’s between $2000 and $3000. • Comparing • Hard Drives • CPU Speed • RAM • Features (like CD-ROM)

Conclusions • CPU Speeds, hard disk capacities and RAM, are all increasing exponentially. • With three different things increasing exponentially overall performance will change much more than double each year. • Since software is written to take advantage of new hardware it is likely that your PC purchased this year will need to be replaced within 3 years • (Maybe sooner!!)
