The Aims of the Social Strand • Understand the taxonomy of social engagement and social activity in older people • Explore the relationship between social networks, activities, depression and personality type • Effect of life events on social interaction • Relationship between cognitive impairment/falls and social engagement/mental health • Develop technologies to help people sustain and improve social engagement • Study new vs old technological interventions
