SEE Region Interests of Axpo in the SEE region • Region with mid and long-term growth potential (e.g. Turkey real GDP growth +2.2% in 2012; Bulgaria +1.7%) • Axpo with strong presence in SEE key countries • Cross-border trading increased (i.e. CBT of electricity) but decreasing spreads due to the fact that Europe becomes a “copper plate” • Further focus on domestic sales & origination activities to mitigate exposure to CBT • Still illiquid market region for trading electricity and gas due to lack of connectivity (further initiatives like ENTSO-E required) • On the electricity side the market is already connected via subsea cable GR-IT • Additional initiatives required to create an integrated SEE gas market • The Southern Gas Corridor and TAP create new gas opportunities for the whole SEE region = Axpowith local presence
